Hi Peter,
I just learned that my earlier (1st) message failed to send out to you this morning from my phone.
To answer your question regarding to Otto Huwe's birth year. Yes, I changed the year after collaborating his obituary newspaper clipping and his death certificate showing he was born in 1857. I was very surprised to see Find a grave has the picture of his gravestone showing his birth year as 1858. How can an error be made?
After unfortunate collection digital copies were "either disappeared or removed" (refer to my message to you earlier), I had to look somewhere else using different archive and also with some help from FHC. I found Otto's brother Reinhold Huwe's marriage record showing the names of the parents. Then I found Reinhold's children birth records that matched according to the correspondences and confirmations with Reinhold's great grandson and others who are related to Otto and Reinhold. Otto and Reinhold were brothers.
Last Wednesday, I found Otto Huwe and Mathilda Pufahl's Marriage Record. It confirmed Otto's birth year as 30 December 1857 and the name of his and wife's parents as well. A huge breakthrough for us since we started our compiled records in 1990. Brick wall since 2000.
I am 2nd great granddaughter of Otto Huwe and Mathilde Pufahl. I am curious if you have any relationship to them?
